We need to learn..from how other towns and businesses do things to grow
spam deleted. Thanks!
'here's to your health!'
I enjoy watching CNBC network and shows like The: Deed, Partner, Profit and Cleveland Hustles. Being an entrepreneur, I appreciate this small biz spirit and am trying to learn how they can help me. Cleveland is alot like other cities in trouble due to the economy, downsizing, outsourcing and foreclosures and the social ills that go along with it like crime, alcoholism, drug addiction, homelessness and mental illness. Detroit, Newark, New Orleans also come to mind. Some see opportunity where others see failure.
The same can be said for Cohoes. What can we do to revitalize this town? How can we get everyone to care about where live, even if don't own but rent? As have said before, everyone here needs to be considered and not just those fortunate enough to have good jobs, successful, profitable businesses, supports such as good friends and close-knit ties like family and not just a select few? How do we encourage people to get involved in bettering Cohoes? How do we get public officials to care about the constituents they are supposed to serve and not just look at their positions as jobs?
Is common for politicians to support the interests of those who got them elected. Often their campaigns are supported by the wealthy, comfortable with some pull and not the little guy. However the poor are a very real part of the land scape of many a small struggling community like Cohoes. Helping all is what we mean by community. Instead of the usual bitcch session of complaints, I am offering answers here. Let's see what other towns are doing to help their communities and learn from them to help our own.
One way to grow is to support small, new businesses and future entrepreneurs as well. Training young people to learn a trade is vital. Creating an incubator and pilot program here for the city so can change for the better is a real possibility and necessity here. As Harry Milk said "You got to give them hope". Hope is what is needed here in Cohoes to see it great again or at least better. Yeh, I'll take better!

Freaky!
spam deleted. Thanks!
This morning while asleep or resting, lying down in my roll out couch/bed, I was visited by my deceased mom. I am not lying. This really happened. I asked how she was and she said good, asked where she was like at a nursing home and she said yes,if she met God and she said 'yes and I met a Queen too!' How weird is that? Queen Elizabeth the 1st maybe? I said I loved her and for her to visit again. She got up to go to the bath room and was gone. It was her voice and everything. What do you think? Was I dreaming? Did her 'spirit' really visit me? Was I just dreaming? They say if met a violent or traumatic death and felt things were left unfinished, that the spirit doesn't rest but haunts where used to live and such. She died a painful, awful death from stomach cancer. We never got to say good bye as she was doped up on morphine and Haldol at the end and though I was there she was out of it screaming. I don't even think she knew I was there, sadly. Maybe this was her way of saying good bye for closure. Who knows? New show starting Sunday called 'Resurrection' about dead people coming back to their loved ones after being dead many years. Lots of commercials on lately promoting this show based on the French play 'they returned'. Do you think I dreamed this because of the show and it played to my emotions and own personal experience? Well..let me know what you think and if anything like this ever happened to you. What happens when we die? Is that it? the end. Or..is there an after life, a next chapter to our stories? I personally think there is. Just as we can't explain God, we don't comprehend why we are here and what happens when we stop breathing on this earth. I think there is much we don't 'get' but all will be revealed when we die to this life.
How often do these spirit dreams happen? How usual is it? Read more here.

# 1: To give us peace, reassurance and comfort
Spirits who come back to remind the living of their presence do so often because they see the healing it brings. They remind us that there is not any imposed separation from those you love. The dead can be with us in spirit in a flash, when we think of them. Whether we perceive them is another matter. The Maoris – the native people of New Zealand – say that the spirits of the dead are on the shoulders of the living and we carry them with us wherever we go.
# 2: Because their path is still entwined with yours
Sometimes deceased relatives stay very attached to their living loved ones. This can be for a variety of reasons – sometimes because they want to see their loved ones succeed – like the deceased relative I encountered recently. (She was standing behind my client’s spirit guides and had a ‘cheerleader’ and supporter role.)
In another case, a spirit can stay attached because they feel a responsibility to watch over the actions of the living and warn them of certain things. This has happened before in one my sessions. A deceased spirit warned against doing something the client was considering, that would have had dire consequences. This spirit had been dead for many, many years and you would have thought he would have cut ties with the living, but he was obviously still quite attached to whether or not this person was doing the right thing, and he had vested interests also in the situation.
# 3: To say what went unsaid
If there’s something important that’s left unsaid, spirits can stay around to attempt to resolve it instead of moving on. The dead returning to communicate with us is also a reminder to check if there is anything left unsaid in your life. I have a stiff upper lip that I either inherited or picked up from my background, so the people around me rarely know just how much I respect, admire and love them because I am not good at getting it out. My encounters with the dead have taught me how important it is to say the words that can heal, reconcile or just communicate how much you care, because once you’re gone it’s harder to do. So, I know it’s a massive cliche, but make sure YOU communicate to those you love how much you love and appreciate them.
# 4: To resolve something that went undone
The spirits that are most motivated to hang around are perhaps those who left something unresolved or undone. In particular, I’m thinking of those who experienced some sort of injustice in their lifetime, like a murder which is still unresolved.
The dead can also remind us not to leave things undone for an extended time period. The biggest thing you can leave undone is pursuing your own dreams. Are you happy with how you spend your days now? Or do you live for tomorrow, planning, with your mind continually in the future, putting off life? The lesson that the dead bring to us is to live in the present moment and do what we want now, because as cliched as it sounds, there may not be as many tomorrows as we think.
# 5: When you’re reviving their memory
Sending the dead a lot of energy also brings them to you, in spirit. For example, my mother as a hobby digs up the past and reconstructs our family tree. She has uncovered interesting and scandalous stories of our family. In dreams, I have seen the bodies of long-deceased relatives turn in their graves and communicate to me that they are watching what she is doing with the family tree. So, sending our ancestors energy – studying their past and our ancestral roots can also call them to us.

Reasons for the dead to come back to us
Why is communicating with the dead so hit and miss? Why can mediums sometimes communicate with the dead and not other times? I have noticed that usually the dead have to have a strong motivation to come back to us AND actually make their presence felt, probably because it takes a great deal of energy and effort to communciate with us.# 1: To give us peace, reassurance and comfort
Spirits who come back to remind the living of their presence do so often because they see the healing it brings. They remind us that there is not any imposed separation from those you love. The dead can be with us in spirit in a flash, when we think of them. Whether we perceive them is another matter. Ruby update
spam deleted. Thanks!
happy to see she is getting back on track with her weight loss, health and life after some setbacks like admitted binge eating, cheating on show, cancellation of said show, deaths of her pets, brother. Today she's back with trainer and working hard to achieve her new goal weight of 250 lbs. read old post on Ruby here.
I myself lost about 100 lbs. back in 2008 by juicing, watching what ate, walking, biking. Have more on this under 'juicing', weight loss, colon cleanse if go to top of page and enter these words into search. Yes I juiced for a bit regularly. juicing is a great way to lose the weight and get healthier. I was depressed and had reached 245 lbs. the most was ever in my life. Now about 170 which is bad but atleast keeping most of it off. I gained the weight back by not consistently juicing which changes your taste buds so don't crave sugar or salt and lose. It also is a natural cleanse so get rid of toxins. Feel great too. I also gained because went off psychotrophic meds like Depakote was on to stabilize mood swings from Bipolar illness diagnosed with. Depakote used to upset my stomach and made me have loose stools which caused weight loss. Despite being heavier, I think I am healthier off these strong meds.

Reality tv is over-rated...
Spam deleted. Thanks!
It satisfies our voyeuristic tendencies surely but..at what cost?! We let let these crazy, greedy, disgusting, fame whores into our lives and living rooms but I think we could be doing something better like living our own lives. These people with all their money, only work on their botox-covered out sides instead of their ugly insides.
Perhaps we wish we could get away with acting like Teresa from the NJ Housewives or over the top drinking Brandy from Beverly Hills. I really don't know what keeps us glued to our tv watching these ridiculous people. I don't even know if it's partly scripted as who really acts this way really?!? Twirl Kenya on this! Yea I do think it would be better if we worked on ourselves more and lived our own lives and changed our own worlds. I think we deserve and are better than this and them!

LOST is back..
While I appreciate your comments to my posts, I would ask firstly that they pertain to topic and are not spam in nature. Thanks!
LOST is back! Yeh!! I watched part one and now am watching part two on the computer at the public library in my town of Cairo,NY. Seems as if there is a parallel universe or dual happenings going on in that in one version it didn't work by that I mean the bombing of th island's core. In the other it did and they land without crashing only not to meet each other, supposedly thus changing their realities. So far Kate met Sawyer regardless.
Is pretty good so far..

Come get LOST with me tonight won't you?
Now that is what I call one good looking man!
PREMIERE! Yeh, the new episode of LOST will be on tonight and I don't know about you but you wil find me ofcourse, sitting in my chair with some goodies and a drink watching it with my pets! Did someone say SAwyer?! Yummy!!
I'm FREEZING! It's really cold in here. Oh! NO worries mate. It's just me having my thermostat at 57 degrees because I can't afford to pay the propane bill! Ugh! I am using a space heater taht keeps konking out as blows the fuse here..nice huh?! YEh my place is heated primarily with propane and it cost $3.20 a gallon and it runs me $320. for a 100 gallon tank they fill every three weeks! I received a HEAP grant 2x already and can not expect anymore money from them. I already have an outstanding electric bill of almost $400 that DOH or department of HEalth, is going to pay, as I have a disability subsidy of $160 a monh, they didn't pay since October..and I got a shutoff notice from my utiity company I need to deal with quickly.. which leaves me with like $100 towards next month's bill. I will have to pay like 144 of it as it also includes about $44. in electric. Am sure you are saying to yourself, why don't she get off her ARSS and get a job like you?! Well like I said I am disabled, completely and I have tried to find a job as I applied at Peebles,Walmart and a few other places and I do try to sell my hand made jewelry but..times are hard and noone is buying it but they can afford to get drunk on the beer they buy and are getting cancer from the cigarettes they are smoking so go figure! Maybe a chakra bracelet with healing properties off the stones is what they and what we all need right about now huh?!?!? NO joke I am wearing them all over my body,lol..It does help some.
I sure hope Obama will help with some of this. But..I don't really think so as the expectation on him is so high already, that he can't help but disappoint us. But..f he gets us out of Afghanistan,Iraq, settles the dispute in the Mideast, helps in Darfur and Tibet, makes health care and education FREE for us all, especially helping our veterans who have served and protected us in the wars, continues to protect us from terrorists, develolps sustainable energy sources to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil, preserves our environment, stabilizes our economy by controlling the bailout monies from now on,helps the average joe and Jane from losing THEIR homes and jobs and businesses, then...I think he has earned his salt as president and we can be more than satisfied with our choice! Damn, that was a mouthful!! lol...(laughing manically,at this point!)
WAtching SAwyer should heat me up some tho but that aint FREE either! It costs me $57 a month for cable, as Midhudson Cable has a monopoly on this area, and I don't have a clue on how to hook up the converter box I bought for about $10,to save money and get rid of the cable, after the coupon of $40, do you??!?!

New cat is sick! ugh..
"cat want new toy" by, Mary Lou from TimetoCre8 on blogspot.
He has a bloody stool. Read more here.
Don't forget to check out the new movie "hotel for Dogs" coming to your local theatere near you on January 16th. Looks like a winner! Is about a couple of kids who can't have a pet of their own so they find an abandoned house and convert it into a pet rescue and go around saving pets throughout the city. Kind of like my life and what I have been doing for years,lol..For pet tips and products try Doctors Foster and Smith. Did you know that the reason cats scratch the furniture is not only because it is instinctual and feels good but because they mark their territory when they shed their claws as their body oils come out on the fabric?! Pretty wild huh?!!?!? What can you do? Well..in my case I just bought a new mattress and I tried putting a scratchy post next to it and it does help some but not always so..today I will spray it to eliminate their scents, as I have 3 offenders out of my 4 cats..Yes I will use Febreeze, as the fabric is getting ruined, ugh!
Oh. Also for your entertainment pleasure, is "Mama's Boys", on tonight, about a few guys looking for the love of their lives and some women dumb enough to be the object of their affections. I wrote a review here and you can see a clip of this here. And don't forget to watch the dance competition from around the world here. I also enjoy watching " the BAchelor" which premieres tonight too! Same guy that got rejected by the "bachelorette" last year. Later gaters!
