MARrA's pharmacy is selling expired goods...
spam deleted. Thanks!
'here's to your health!'
This small family-run shop has been a staple of Cohoes for years. Assemblyman John McDonald is the pharmacist there. Being pharmacies should be associated with wellness, it is surprising to see this behavior. I bought discounted soap dated 2015 and body cream dated 2012!
Didn't realize until I got home. Usually a sale is on when items are approaching expiration, not when have expired. 3 year shelf life after expiration date but shorter with no paraben, preservative as in this case.
They belong In trash and not peoples homes. I will be returning goods for $65. ASAP. I recommend when shopping there, you look at expiration dates, especially if items are on sale as bet have expired.
Is interesting McDonald condones this but is complaining of local thrift store 'this and that' seller Rich selling his resellable ,unhealthy, cheap diabetic test strips.
People In Glass houses..Best be above reproach yourself before slinging the mud. Other shop poses as medical supply so people on web site buy thinking have real
medical supply company.
Spindles Market also sells expired reduced food. Bought yodels from 7/21 that tasted awful Should be outlawed.
These small towns are so corrupt.
See such nepotism too. All married to each other. ol' boy network alive and well. All scratch each other's backs and try to keep out who deem outsiders and not from here too.
Know as am from Bronx so know how it is as experience it first hand.
No opportunity here at a!!. No help from government or those in charge here if want to improve town, have small biz, or are an artist who sells. Help select few. keep poor down.

How to face one's own demise with a smile...
spam deleted. Thanks!
This speech known as the 'last lecture' of his short life, is the most inspiring one I have ever heard. What do you think?!? Randy Pausch, professor, RIP. watch here. 'The brick walls are there to remind you how bad you want to make it'. Randy Pausch. They only block those who don't want it bad enough! Don't give upon your dreams as so many do.

Needless to say, I am going back to school lol! I never dismiss a bargain. Will take some art classes, painting, drawing, sculpture and writing, creative writing for owners. I will also get to use the pool free as a student and will get a free bus pass to boot! For all who are doing nothing, I suggest you get on board and take some classes too. Maybe you could do a internship together so get experience to land a job. Just an idea. Can't imagine it is fun living on just welfare or social security administration don't get enough to enjoy a good life.

We need to learn..from how other towns and businesses do things to grow
spam deleted. Thanks!
'here's to your health!'
I enjoy watching CNBC network and shows like The: Deed, Partner, Profit and Cleveland Hustles. Being an entrepreneur, I appreciate this small biz spirit and am trying to learn how they can help me. Cleveland is alot like other cities in trouble due to the economy, downsizing, outsourcing and foreclosures and the social ills that go along with it like crime, alcoholism, drug addiction, homelessness and mental illness. Detroit, Newark, New Orleans also come to mind. Some see opportunity where others see failure.
The same can be said for Cohoes. What can we do to revitalize this town? How can we get everyone to care about where live, even if don't own but rent? As have said before, everyone here needs to be considered and not just those fortunate enough to have good jobs, successful, profitable businesses, supports such as good friends and close-knit ties like family and not just a select few? How do we encourage people to get involved in bettering Cohoes? How do we get public officials to care about the constituents they are supposed to serve and not just look at their positions as jobs?
Is common for politicians to support the interests of those who got them elected. Often their campaigns are supported by the wealthy, comfortable with some pull and not the little guy. However the poor are a very real part of the land scape of many a small struggling community like Cohoes. Helping all is what we mean by community. Instead of the usual bitcch session of complaints, I am offering answers here. Let's see what other towns are doing to help their communities and learn from them to help our own.
One way to grow is to support small, new businesses and future entrepreneurs as well. Training young people to learn a trade is vital. Creating an incubator and pilot program here for the city so can change for the better is a real possibility and necessity here. As Harry Milk said "You got to give them hope". Hope is what is needed here in Cohoes to see it great again or at least better. Yeh, I'll take better!

Can catch me selling my wares on corner. Remsen and Columbia sts. Artzstuf
, company, Ann Reilly, artist, vendor. Was in front of Langley's, a mechanic not in operation so didn't pay fee. Only made $18 after expenses so wasn't paying owner of Spindles, who ran show, $30. He shook me down for money but didn't give in. He said was part of event.
He says how I can't just be there, how other vendors paid. The difference between them and me is I am poor, have no car, help, shlep over alone. Live 2 doors down. On my St. Many do what did when event. He Said next time they not going to let me be in it and why didn't I stand in front of my building. Made nothing last time is why. Money made towards my accupuncture costs as not covered by insurance. Joint problems, on disability. He begrudged me little made.
Mean time he's making good money off his noisy bar. I have to tolerate him, it, noisy music and his rowdy drunken patrons coming home all hours. Drop glasses and beer bottles on ground outside too. Ugh. Cuts both ways babe.
