Cairo,s Parade of Lights was fun..
While I appreciate your comments to my posts, I would ask firstly that they pertain to topic and are not spam in nature. Thanks!
Local businesses dressed their vehicles up and piut lights on them and prded them down Cairo,s Main St. to the applause and shouts of the local towns people. Refreshments were served at the Cairo Library,s lobby and Santa was there in the community room to take pix with the kiddies and listen to their requests for gifts. 4H supplied the treats and so they made some money off the deal for their program which was good too. I enjoyed the fudge.

I need to be out by..
Please, no spam. Thanks!
midDecember now as she, landlord filed to too soon to be in court as had the whole calendar month to vacate so if still there after that then back to court we go for another court date ane then sheriff out by midmonth. I did find a room atleast at motel but super doesn't want to fill out paper work for social service to get security monies but he took 100 down as a deposit. Said landlord back from FL. by XMAs so if worst comes to worse will have him do it then as can't pay rent and security so will have to wait for money balance. My attorney may be able to press super into doing what needs to do as she seemed miffed about it.

Back to court we go!
While I appreciate your comments to my posts, I would ask firstly that they pertain to topic and are not spam in nature. Thanks!
Yeh, I go back again this coming Tuesday,November 20, 2012,despite fact I have whole calendar month of November to vacate, legally as she served me 10/11 and it doesn't go a month from midmonth as she thinks. She got her way though as clerk just gives her a court date immediately regardless of the law. I pray case gets dismissed again as too soon to be back but she can argue aI didn't pay rent for this month as wasn't entitled to last month as had paid in full for a year despite damages from storm, etc. and she knew about it and refuses to do repairs that would get section 8 to approve place and she could have been getting paid for months by them atleast but she is stubborn and she just wants me gone despite fact I have no where to go. She doesn't care as is a heartless beast sorry but is. Not sure how she and her husband counsel anyone as she thinks she is sooo spiritual but there is nothing kind or loving in what she does or is doing to me. If she plays this card, we will offer some money to stay til end of month. If still there, she takes me back to court in week to get me out and sheriff comes out after in 5 days after. Puts me at 12/12/12 to be gone.

Case dismissed...
While I appreciate your comments to my posts, I would ask firstly that they pertain to topic and are not spam in nature. Thanks!
So then husband of Akama,maNGER OF PROPERTY SAYS 'can't we get her out for not paying October rent?' Judge said can't advise them and suggested they get an attorney! hahah. I got a free one through legal aide. I knew enough to do that and I'm on disability and am supposed to have a head injury Their normal allegedly.I'm supposed to pay for having to move, put my things in storage, look for new housing constantly, have sheriffs, her, others drop by all hours and call to throw me out?! I have not enjoyed the place in atleast a year and even then not really as place was always a dump,unweatherized,char5ged top market price though, not mowed regularly, vermin in it and in walls, roof, water damage to walls, mold, making me sick, sinus infections constantly,no storm windows, wet leaves on lawn, unraked, unbagged, fell on,no smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, had to have put in myself and so on..Landlord is a real slumlord and absentee like many here which depreciates property values and the neighborhood as they don't keep up the places.
I will offer some money for rent to avoid eviction on grounds didn't pay rent but am asking for a rent reduction due to damages unrepaired yet landlord knows of them. She claims she needs to reseiaze her property to fix them. I guess everyone moves out when their roof needs fixing, window replacement, insulation, rodents killed, mold right?! A tenant does have some rights and since I have exercised them is the real reason for my eviction as I don't kiss butt and agree with her and let her run me like all else does. Why should I pay top rent to live like this? I have to also as no place takes the pets I have and not giving them away, sorry. Also many landlords don't take section 8 or peole on disabiltiy with no full time job. Rather discriminatory no?

May be able to stay now..
No spam,please.
If get section 8 aproval here. As is won't get it as walls have mold as are making me ill, sinuses congested chronically, due to roof damage from hurricane. Also place uninsulated. If she got new storm windows and fixed roof atleast it may pasws. This is good news as place looked at fell through as were uninsured.

Still here..
While I appreciate your comments to my posts, I would ask firstly that they pertain to topic and are not spam in nature. Thanks!
Have found a place to live in E. Durham but have to wait for new landlords to send in paper work to section 8 and then they need to come out to see place before they release funds to supplement my rent there. Had to pay rent in full where am so broke now, even though have section 8 which really blows.
Listened to 'Occupy Wall st.' talk on radio today and see similarities with my situation when they speak of the trickle down effect of Wall street's capitalism and corporations on the little guy like me and how the movement is growing in momentum as more and more people across the US make the connection with what's going on there and with all of us and the recession and lay offs, evictions, foreclosures and the new face of poverty. I can definitely relate as am being threatened with eviction myself though my landlord doesn't want to have to go to court to get me out as costs money to get sheriff to come and out the process can be a lengthy one with no money interim. She has elected to wait on me to leave and bullied me for the full rent instead which though not thrilled with is better than what faced earlier with her as have a roof over my head. What about you? How is this effecting you if it is at all?

Rain
Spam deleted.
Rain
While we need it,
We don't need it every day,
But, it's been pouring daily, from where I sit,
Watching the drops of water fall and trees sway,
With the wind blowing their branches and leaves falling,
Instead of for rain, I pray for a sunny day,
Listening to birds sing,
Feeling the warmth of the sun,
Not the coolness of the clouds in the sky,
Then I can get something done,
Outside, tidying up, I'll try,
For now the streets are soaked with rain,
buckets of the stuff have filled my flower pots,
It has now become a pain,
As sun too is needed for fruit, crops, trees and forget me nots,
So now instead of a rain dance,
I will wish for a sunny sky,
As I watch the animals prance,
From my window by and by,
Yes, it's high time for some sun,
I long for it's warmth on my face,
and the summer fun,
It's vibrant glow on this place,
That not is wet and dull,
The streets resemble a ghost town,
Empty and the sounds are at a lull,
No activity can be seen in this now sleepy town,
The rain seems to have washed away the people as well,
As watered the ground and soil,
The air is heavy with a damp smell,
Soon, men will toil,
Under the hot sun's rays,
On roofs,fields,streets,
They will seem as if in a daze,
While others complain of the heat,
And wish that it would rain.
