When Going off Prescription Psychiatric Medicine Beware..



of gaining weight!

I had lost alot of weight, if you recall from past posts. I was once 244 lbs but for a short time, til I rediscovered that I needed to watch what I was putting in my mouth..Mostly I was 200 lbs but that was bad too. I had dropped down to 153 lbs. through juicing without dieting or exercising but gained alot of it back when I moved into my cottage before the one I am in now. I had attributed to the fact that I was not as active but now come to think of it the real reason had to do with the fact that I am no longer on prescription psychiatric meds(although my roomie thinks I should be but that is debatatable). I was on Depakote and it acts like a physic or rather it gives you and upset stomach and can cause loose bowel movements that resemble diarrhea. Nice huh? Anyways..

I am back to juicing again..I have not lost any weight but on a positive note, I have not gained any either. this I attribute largely to the fact that I have not put down the chocolate chip cookies yet. I am eating them not because I crave sweets(juicing is supposed to help with the salty and sugary cravings) but because I am used to eating them. Ugh..I still am eating alot of salty snacks too like chips which doesn't help either. All things in due time though..I am having frequent bowel movements and I notice the odor of my stool which had been acidic (as I drink alot of coffee and grapefruit)is not as bad either. I still get heartburn but I hear that should improve also in time. My friend has a juicing cassette that he listens to so we do learn alot about it and the benefits of juicing certain veggies and fruits. He got the tape with the juicer.

I will keep you abreast of my weight loss success folks..
